より深く響く心地よい歌声 A sweet song with deeper resonances

最初の香りは、むしろ奇妙な感じがする。糖液、濃い色のチェリー、アルマニャック、トフィーアップル、クランキーバー、皮革、イチジクの香りがするコーヒー。味は、甘く優しく歌うよう。ダークチョコレート、クリームブリュレ、ハチミツ、イチジクのシロップ、こんがり炒ったココナッツ、そしてスパイス棚のフィニッシュが長く続く。加水後の香りは、熟したパイナップル、バニラケーキとトフィーがけのポップコーン。やがて独特なプラスチックの香り（タッパーウエアーの中に注がれたデメララ酒）があらわれ、のちに、マーマイト（イーストと野菜エキスのペースト）と焼いたハムがさらに深く影響する。加水後に甘さ（シンダートフィー、チェリーシロップ、ドクターペッパー）が瞬き、好ましいスパイシーさと木の質感で締めくくる。蒸溜所は、1958年、アルバート・リチャードソン卿によって、派手にデザインされた。 The initial nose was rather curious; treacle, dark sherry, armagnac, toffee apples, Crunchie bars, leather and coffee with fig. The palate sang sweetly of dark chocolate, crème brule and honey, with syrup of figs, toasted coconut and a long-lasting, spice cupboard finish. The reduced nose had ripe pineapple, vanilla cake and toffee popcorn; an unusual plastic note appeared (`demerara in tupperware`), then deeper resonances of Marmite and baked ham. Flashes of sweetness on the reduced palate (cinder toffee, cherry syrup, Dr Peppers) settled to a pleasant spicy, woody finish. The distillery was flamboyantly designed by Sir Albert Richardson in 1958.
