葉巻を嗜む芸者 A cigar-smoking Geisha

暖かみを感じるジンジャーとバニラの香りが、かなりコンスタントに続く。最初のうちは、ファブリッククリーナーで満たされ、それからフルーツ、最後はスモークハムと燃えた小枝が香る。味は、スモークがほのかにやさしく、まるで葉巻を嗜む芸者のよう。ある日本人の来訪者は、オレンジソースがかかったカモの燻製を、他の人々は、熟れたメロンとライチーを見つける。加水後の香りは、より奥ゆかしさと芳香性が高まり、ジャスミン茶、ミモザの花、オレンジが入った箱の香りを伴う。加水後の味は、苦味を感じ、のどが絡むが、優雅に舞う甘さとラプサン・スーチェン（中国産の煙の香りの高級紅茶）がうまく融けこむ。このサントリーの蒸溜所は、1923年に竣工した。 The nose displayed fairly constant elements of warm ginger and vanilla, but we also found it ran through phases of fabric cleaner initially, then fruit and finally smoked ham and burning twigs. The smoke in the taste was delicate and gentle, like a cigar-smoking Geisha. A Japanese visitor found smoked duck in orange sauce; others identified ripe melon and lychees. The reduced nose became more shy and fragrant, with jasmine tea, mimosa blossoms and orange boxes. The reduced palate was tannic and ticklish but well integrated with sweetness dancing elegantly around with lapsang souchong. This Suntory distillery dates from 1923.
