うま味があり、頬を吸い込む Chewy and cheek-sucking

最初のアロマは、研磨された木材―日本からの訪問者は、磨かれたばかりのダンスフロアーを思い浮かべる。テイスターは、チェロを思い浮かべた― 一緒に軽やかに動いている。やがて、香りはさらに深まり、ラムレーズン、糖蜜のトフィー、こんがり焼いたアップルクランブルへ変わる。加水前の味は、ドライ。リコリスと焦がしたオレンジピールとプルーンの味がする。テイスターは、「トフィーアップルを食べ終えて、棒をかじっているところ」という。加水後の香りは、とてもよい香り。シングルモルトというより、ラムやバーボン、年代もののグレーンウイスキーのようだ。加水後の味は、実質的で中身が濃く、「頬を吸い込むほど」異国のフルーツと桃のフレーバーが伴う。日本最初の京都の蒸溜所から。 The initial aroma was polished wood - a visitor from Japan envisaged freshly-polished dance floors; the Tour-guide imagined a cello - they waltzed off together. Eventually the nose deepened to rum-and-raisin, treacle toffee, toffee apples and toasted apple crumble. The unreduced palate was dry and hot, with liquorice, burnt orange peel and prunes; the Whisky-bard said, `The toffee apple's finished and I'm chewing the stick.` The reduced nose seemed perfumed; more like rum, bourbon or old grain whisky than single malt. The palate, with water, was substantial, chewy and `cheek-sucking` (Whisky-manager) with exotic fruit and peachy flavours. From Japan's earliest whisky distillery.
