微笑んで反り返る Lean back smiling

最初にニスや干草の香りが思い浮かび、それを認めざるを得ない溜め息へと変わり、蜂蜜、メロン、マジパン、クリスマスケーキ、シュトーレン（ブランデー漬けのフルーツを練りこんだパン）の香りがあらわれる。パネラーはキャンディーショップを感じる。味は、甘さ（ココナッツ、トフィー アイスクリーム、レーズン、ソルタナス）と樹木の成分（樹液、オークのタンニン）や、いくらかの乾燥唐辛子の辛さとの心地よいバランスを保っている。加水するとフリージアとマツユキソウ、ずっと後になって、カレーの香りがする。微かにスパイスを伴う風味よい甘さとシトラスの味が、我々を微笑ませる。サントリー所有の蒸溜所は、海抜700mに位置し、石炭焚きの蒸溜釜を保有している。 Initial thoughts about varnish and dry grass on the nose gave way to sighs of approval and comments about honey, melon, marzipan and cake (Christmas cake, Stollen); the Angel found herself in a lolly shop. The palate was a delightful balance of sweetness (coconut, toffee ice-cream, raisins, sultanas) with woody elements (wood sap, oak tannins) and some dry chilli heat. Water brought freesias and snowdrops to the nose; much later, curry. The reduced palate, deliciously sweet and citric, with subtle spice, made us lean back smiling. The distillery, owned by Suntory, is 700 metres above sea level and has coal-fired stills. Colour - amber　Cask - second fill bourbon barrel *** Quarterly ***
