ペドロかりんとう Pedro Karintō

ファーストフィル・シェリーホグスヘッド熟成 パネルはこのシェリー樽熟成の驚異とも言える深い色に畏れ入った。 グラスの側面を伝うレッグはまるで糖蜜のよう。香りはペドロヒメネスの影響を強く感じられ、プルーン、レーズン、しょうゆ、コーヒー、ドライクランベリーがあった。 一口目は甘く粘性があった。ペドロが綿あめと黒砂糖をまぶしたかりんとうを楽しんでいた。加水するとわずかにローズウォータのような軽さが引き出されるが、リッチなボディは相変わらずだ―　ブラックベリーのワイン、トフィーそしてわずかにフライパンに残った肉汁のような塩味のエッジがあった。 The Panel were in awe of the deep colour of this sherry matured marvel. The legs clung to the side of the glass like treacle. On the nose there was a strong Pedro Ximenez influence, with notes of prunes, raisins, soy sauce, coffee and dried cranberries. The first sip was hugely sweet and viscous. Pedro enjoyed candy floss and Karintō dusted in brown sugar. Water lightens the nose with a hint of rosewater, but the richness remains in the palate in the form of blackberry wine, treacle toffee and a slighty savoury edge (gravy in a roasting pan).
