人魚に口づけ　 Kissing a mermaid

これはおもしろい。香りにおなじみの蜜蝋（クレヨン、キャンドル、馬用のレインコート―新品のIKEAの台所を感じるものもいる）があらわれるが、青リンゴや駄菓子の粉末ソーダ、塩をふった洋ナシも香る。味は“人魚に口づけ”というコメントが示唆するように、芳香と塩のコンビネーションがよいが、すぐに移ろいやすい。加水後はさらに香り立つ（セイヨウヒノキ）。その一方で、新しいベッドリネンの香りを感じるものもいる。―突然再び人魚が現れる。加水後は内容が充実、塩味と食欲をそそる要素がセサミ シンズ（クラッカー）の味となり、さらに、“洋梨のコンポートのクレーム アングレーズ（バニラ風味のカスタード）添え”のようなクリーミーな甘さと融合する。オリジナルの蒸溜所は、1819年に建立。ジョニーウォーカー・ゴールドのキーモルトのひとつ。 We had fun here; familiar waxy qualities emerged on the nose (crayons, candles, a horse's raincoat - someone identified new IKEA kitchens); but also green apple, sherbet and perfumed pear with sprinkles of salt. Perfume and salt combined on the palate, inspiring comments about `kissing a mermaid;` we quickly moved on. The reduced nose seemed even more perfumed (cypress); someone identified fresh bed linen - suddenly the mermaid reappeared - more ribaldry. The reduced palate remained substantial, the salty/savoury element became sesame thins, but that elided into creamy sweetness, like `poached pear with crime anglais`. The original distillery was built in 1819.
