最初のコメントはフレッシュさ、洗濯物 、ラベンダーなど、しかし変化とともにヒース、バニラ、スモーク、少しのナッツオイルが現れる。 ストレートでは味は大半がスモークだが、リッチで熟成しているのがはっきり分かる。甘いたばこやバーベキューを感じた。ウィスキーの科学者はフランスの結婚式を思い出すと言う。ラベンダーの甘さや砂糖のかかったアーモンドと言う。しかしウィスキーハウンド犬は「これは初デートをめちゃくちゃにする！」と言う。加水すると香に海の感じが現れる。ゼラニウムの葉、ポート漬けのイチジク。味はより統一感が出てくる。– メープル-ベーコンの燻製、スパイシーなウッド、カラメル、塩、キイチゴなど。ポートエレンに最も近い稼動中の蒸留所からの素晴らしいドラム。 Early comments mentioned freshness, laundry and lavender, but the nose changed to heather, vanilla and smoke, with traces of nut-oil. The unreduced palate, though dominated by smoke, was nevertheless richly rewarding and evidently mature; we found sweetie tobacco and barbeques. The whisky-scientist recalled a French wedding, with lavender sweets and sugared almonds but the whisky-hound said, `This could ruin a first date!` Water brought maritime aspects to the nose, geranium leaf and figs drizzled in port. The palate became more integrated - maple-cured bacon, spicy wood, caramel, salt and brambles. A fabulous dram from the nearest working distillery to Port Ellen.
