ウイスキーの芸術 The art of whisky

「望むものすべてが存在する！」と、テイスティングパネラーの一人はいう。香りは、かなり濃いレベルのタール、“コーンシロップの中の木炭”、浜辺の焚き火、スモークされた魚が感じられ、より新鮮な花の成分（ラベンダー、ヘザー、甘いレモンケーキ、ヤチヤナギ）によってバランスがとれている。だれかが、その味を「卓越して、持続性があり、刺激的」と考える。「聖女テレサの槍〈エクスタシーを与える一品〉のようだ」と、テイスティングパネラーの一人は述べる。加水後は、バーベキュー、包帯、ブリューゲルの種をまく人の皮袋（パネラーは冴えている！）の香りがする。加水後の味は、甘辛（バーベキューチキンの上に乗った焦げたレモン）。フィニッシュには、焦げたヘザーが引き出される。蒸溜所に関するハンス・オフリガン氏の新刊書がある。 Everything you hoped for! said the Leither - the nose had deep levels of tar, `charcoal in corn syrup`, beach bonfires and smoked fish, balanced by fresher, floral elements (lavender, heather, sweet lemon cakes, vanilla and bog myrtle). Someone called the taste `big, long and penetrating.` `Like St. Teresa's spear` said an art-lover. The reduced nose had barbeques, bandages and the leather bag of Brueghel's seed-sower (the art-lover was on a roll!). The reduced palate was sweet and savoury (burnt lemon on barbequed chicken) with the drawing finish of burnt heather twigs. Hans Offringa has a new book about the distillery.
