ホット・ベネディクティン Bene ‘n’ hot

ストレートの香りはレモンの芳香で始まった　− レモンクリームビスケットとレモンピールの砂糖煮に続き、チェリー・ベイクウェル・フェアリーケーキ、カモミールティー、松の実と白檀のエッセンシャルオイルで円満なストレートの香りになった。味はシルクのように滑らかで、背景には上手に作ったグロッグかホット・ベネディクティンのようなドライでスパイシーな風味があった。 水を1滴加えると、ウッドスパイス − 紫檀と白檀 − の芳香が増して、私たちはドミノやチェス／チェッカーの駒を入れた箱を開けるところを想像し、味では蜂蜜の瓶に木のスプーンを突っ込んでいるところを現行犯で捕まった。 We started with aromas of lemon on the nose neat; lemon sherbet jammy dodgers and candied lemon peel before cherry Bakewell fairy cakes, chamomile tea and the essential oils of pine nuts and sandalwood made this a well-rounded nose neat. The taste was silky smooth with dry/spicy wood flavours in the background like well-made grog or hot Benedictine. A drop of water increased the aromas of wood spices; rosewood and sandalwood and we imagined opening a wooden box of dominos, chess players or draught figures whilst on the palate we were caught red-handed with a wooden spoon in the honey jar.
