ウイスキー・スマッシュ・カクテル Whisky Smash

ストレートの香りを嗅いだパネルメンバーは、それぞれ様々なイメージを描いた − ある者はイボタノキの生垣の剪定を終えたばかり、ある者はガレージで大量に残ったペンキを見ながら次のDIY計画を考えていた。小石の浜に逆さに置かれたボートを調べている者もいた。「ウイスキー・スマッシュ」のような、強烈で氷のように爽やかな口当たりに甘いピートの煙が微かに混じる。 加水すると、甘く、塩辛く、ハーブのようなフェノール系の芳香が魅惑的に入り混じった − クローブ、ローズマリー、焦げた赤砂糖、ミント、そして海藻。味は、オリーブオイル・ドレッシングと共に赤唐辛子、黒オリーブ、ローストした松の実をかけたレタスのウェッジサラダだった。 Different Panel members had different pictures nosing neat; one had just finished trimming the privet hedge, whilst another was looking at a plethora of leftover paint in the garage to decide the next DIY project and yet another inspecting an old upturned boat on a pebble beach. An intense icy fresh mouth-feel like a ‘Whisky Smash’ with a subtle sweet peat smoke infusion. Water added an intriguing mixture of sweet, salty, herbal and phenolic aromas; cloves, rosemary, burnt brown sugar, mint, and seaweed. The taste was an iceberg wedge salad with red peppers, black olives and roasted pine nuts with an olive oil dressing.
