アイラ島へ瞬間移動 Immediate transportation to Islay

甘い香り（トフィー、メープルシロップ）が伝わるとともに、タールや薬のジャーモリーン（消毒軟膏）の香り、かすかなピートの煙と浜辺の焚き火で焼かれたホタテの香りによって、まるでアイラ島にいるような気になる。加水前の味は、舌を焦すような衝撃を感じ、喘ぎを引き起こす―‘ホタテだけでなく、まるで炭のようにも感じる’とあるパネリストが叫ぶ。（少しずつ飲むのがおすすめ）さらに、ナッツの味（焼栗、燻したような香りがする豆板）が感じられる。加水後は、ケジェリー（英国の朝食料理）、カレン スキンク（スコットランドの漁師のスープ）、コーヒーカップの底に残る少量の砂糖の香りが加わる。味は、蜂蜜、灰、そこはかとなく花のようなもの（焦げたヘザーの小枝）が感じられる。ジュラ海岸に最も近い蒸溜所から。 カラー：　トフィーがけのポップコーン The nose conveyed sweetness (toffee, maple syrup) but the tar, medicinal Germolene notes, distant peat smoke and scallops cooking on beach bonfires transported us to Islay. The unreduced palate, with its tongue roasting impact, drew gasps – ‘not just the scallops, but the coals as well!’ one panellist exclaimed (small sips are recommended); we also found some nutty flavours (roasted chestnuts, smoky nut brittle). The reduced nose added in kedgeree, Cullen Skink and sugar dregs in a coffee cup. The palate now carried honey and ash and something vaguely floral (burnt heather sprigs).
