この1杯は、オレンジの皮とチョコレートのトリュフのガウンに身を包んだ、自信のある大胆な一杯。デメララシュガー、バタースコッチ、バニラコーヒー、ピノノワール、スパイスの入ったラム酒、トカイデザートワインの激しいパンチ。新しいレザーボクシンググローブの香りが、塩漬けのキャラメルウエハース、ダークフルーツ、ジュニパーベリー、ハーブと木炭でフィニッシュへ向かう。加水するとオレンジママレードとマデイラケーキ、マシュマロとローストした野菜。フィニッシュはタイバジル、サプサンスーチョン茶とリコリスキャンディ。
10年間an ex-bourbon hogsheadで熟成した後、first-fill ex-Sauternes barriqueへ移し替え
This dram entered the ring with a confident and bold swagger, dressed in a gown of orange skins and chocolate truffles. Heavy punches smacked of Demerara sugar, butterscotch and vanilla coffee whilst from the corner came spirited cheers from pinot noir, spiced rum and Tokaji dessert wine. The smell of new leather boxing gloves danced around the ring with salted caramel wafers, dark fruits and juniper berries before a final blow from herbs and wood char ended the round. After a splash of water, we bounced into round two as orange marmalade and madeira cake traded punches with singed marshmallows and roasted vegetables. Finally, Thai basil found itself up against the ropes before a hard hit from Lapsang Souchong tea and liquorice sweets ended the bout. After spending ten years in an ex-bourbon hogshead this was transferred to a first-fill ex-Sauternes barrique for the remainder of its maturation.
