ストレートの最初の香りはクロテッドクリームとイチゴジャム添えスコーンまたは固形蜂蜜を塗った外皮の固い厚切りパンのクリームティー – 美味しい。時間と共に、木のスプーンから垂れる熱いカラメルソースと磨きたての木材の深い香りが現れる。 最初の味は柑橘類の炸裂で刺激的だが、グアバ、マンゴー、パイナップルなどのジューシーなトロピカルフルーツが続き、フィニッシュには蜂蜜味の咳止めドロップ。 加水するとトロピカルウッドのスパイシーさとハニーナッツ入り全粒麦シリアルの芳香が加わる。味には微かな苦みとオークっぽさの絶妙なバランス、そして古風なカクテル「オールド・ファッション」と言えばピッタリのフルーティな甘さがある。 The initial nose neat was fruity and sweet like a Cream tea with scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam or set honey spread on thick crusty bread – delicious. Deeper notes of hot caramel dripping off a wooden spoon and freshly polished wood arrive with time. Fizzy on the tongue at first with a burst of citrus followed by juicy tropical fruits like guava, mango and pineapple, and in the finish honey lozenges. Water adds aromas of tropical wood spiciness as well as honey nut shredded wheat cereal. On the palate an intriguing balance of slightly bitter and oaky, as well as a fruity sweetness best described as the classic cocktail ‘Old Fashioned’.
