トウモロコシ畑の中の寝床 A bed in a cornfield

ストレートの香りは、挽いたシナモンひとつまみとゴールデンシロップを入れたスチームド・ジンジャー＆トリークル・スポンジプディングと言えばぴったり。少量の生クリームを添えたブラックベリーとリンゴのパイの芳香もあった。 続いて現れた味は、洋ナシのスパイス煮チョコレートソース掛けとスパイス入り蜂蜜カラメルカスタード添えのリンゴ。 加水すると切りたての草と埃っぽい干し草の俵と共に新たな一面が加わった – 暑い夏の夜、南フランスのトウモロコシ畑で星空の元、甘いシードルとカルバドスを飲みながらリンゴのタルトとクレープシュゼットを携えたピクニックを想像して欲しい。 The nose neat was best described as steamed ginger and treacle sponge pudding with a pinch of ground cinnamon and golden syrup. There were also aromas of blackberry & apple pie with a dollop of fresh cream by the side. The taste followed on with spiced poached pears in chocolate sauce and apples with spiced honey caramel custard. Water added a new dimension with freshly cut grass and dusty hay bales – imagine a picnic with tart aux pommes and crepes suzette under the stars in a cornfield on a hot summer’s night in the south of France while drinking sweet cidre and calvados.
