「軽いピート臭」のバージョンとして喧伝されていたが、こんなにもピート臭がまだ残っていることに驚かされた。大麦糖、シンダー トフィー＆ファッジ、さらに、ガンオイル、煙突の煤やタールの匂いもする。燻されたカリカリベーコンや草の香り、薬草の要素もある。味は、甘いパルマバイオレット（タブレットのお菓子）、蜂蜜、そしてシャーベット水のストローの味が突然現れるが、アニスの実とリコリスの深み、炭とそれに重み与える灰をともなう。加水された風味は、とてもおいしく、ラベンダー風味の清涼剤と潮の強い味が浸透する。スモークはあと味に限定されるように思う。この蒸溜所は、アイラ島南東、キルダルトンの近くにある。
This was heralded as a `lightly-peated` version; we were surprised at how peaty it still remained. The nose had barley sugar, cinder toffee and fudge, but also gun oil, chimney soot and tar. It also had smoky bacon Frazzles and grassy, herbal elements. The palate exploded with sweet Parma Violets, honey and sherbet straws but with aniseed/liquorice depth and charcoal and cinders to give it weight. The taste, at reduced strength was lip-smacking and penetrating with lavender refreshers and a salty tang; the smoke seemed now confined to the after-taste. The distillery is near Kildalton on the south-east of Islay.
