ウエットスーツの濡れた煤 Wet soot on a wetsuit

コールタールの石鹸、TCP（うがい薬）、ヘザー、パルマバイオレット（タブレットのお菓子）、灰と糖液が香る。新鮮で、海の爽やかな空気を含んだシーフード（イセエビのレモン添えまたはサバの燻製のホースラデッシュ添え）の香りも伝わる。“Wet soot（濡れた煤）”と言うものもいれば、“ウエットスーツ”に賛同するものもいるので、煙突に突っ込んでしまったダイバーを思い浮かべて笑ってしまった。味は、甘さから始まり、やがて大きくて乾いた煙（シポトレチリの燻製）が影響を及ぼしはじめ、最後に少量だが間違いなく灰皿を感じる。加水後の香りは、甘い帆立と燻製されたパプリカを示唆。その一方で、シトラス、ラベンダー、ハルバ（ゴマと蜂蜜のトルコ起源のキャンディ）とまだ燻った木材の燃えさしの味がするが、極めて飲みやすい。この蒸溜所では犬を飼い、委員会を運営している。グレンモーレンジ社が所有する蒸溜所。 The nose gave us coal-tar soap and TCP, heather, Parma Violets, ash and molasses. It also delivered fresh, ozone, seafood notes (langoustines with lemon or smoked mackerel with horseradish); someone said `wet soot` and someone else agreed `wetsuit` - we laughed, visualizing a diver stuck up the chimney. The palate started sweet, then big, dry smoke kicked in (smoked chipotle chillies) and a definite lick of ashtray in the finish. The reduced nose suggested sweet scallops and smoked paprika, while the palate had citrus, lavender, halva and still-smoking wood embers; extremely drinkable. This distillery has a dog and a committee.
