私たちは淑女の革製ハンドバッグをかき回し、古風な香水、ピンクグレープフルーツの香りの化粧水シート、バニラ・バタービスケット、そしてメンソール煙草を発見した。ストレートの味はソフトで甘く、八角の繊細なスパイシーさを伴う甘美な自家製クレーム・ド・カシスのようだった。加水すると、マイルドなジンジャーケーキと砂糖掛けアーモンド・ショートブレッド添えレモン・ポセットになった。その味はシルクのように滑らかで、トムヤムスープのスパイスが微かに。リフィルのバーボン・ホグスヘッドで28年熟成した後、このウイスキーはソーテルヌカスクに直接移されて残りの熟成期間を過ごした。 2nd fill Sauternes hogsheadフィニッシュ We found ourselves rummaging a lady’s leather handbag discovering an old fashioned perfume, pink grapefruit scented face wipes, vanilla butter biscuits and menthol cigarettes. The taste neat was soft and sweet like a homemade luscious crème de cassis with the delicate spiciness of star anise. Diluted it turned into mild ginger cake and a refreshing lemon posset with sugared-almond shortbread. On the palate now silky smooth with a hint of spice from a tom yum soup. After 28 years in an ex-bourbon refill hogshead, we transferred this whisky directly into a Sauternes cask for the remainder of its maturation. 2nd fill Sauternes hogshead finish
