甘い花の蜜、潤いのある樹木、フィニッシュにゆったりとピーと香 An absolute cracker!

　香りは、まずワックスがかった家具のツヤ出しやペイント。スパイスのかかったアップルパイやクローブで料理した洋梨のような暖かみもある。やがて深みが増し、よりリッチで甘くなりスチームしたプディングやアイスクリームが現れる。加水しない場合、味はただ素晴らしい---綿菓子・シロップスポンジ・オレンジジェリー、しかし遠くにある葉が沢山ついた木の焚き火も感じられ、そしてそれが素晴らしく繊細な塩気の強い味に変わる。加水すると香りはバニラ・皮・蜂蜜・蜂の巣が、チョコレートとレモンと一緒に広がる。　まさしくかんしゃく玉。 The nose here starts with waxy furniture polish and paint but warms to spiced apple pie or pear cooked with cloves. Eventually it becomes deeper, richer and sweeter, revealing steamed pudding and ice-cream. The unreduced palate is simply outstanding - candy floss, syrup sponge and orange jelly but with leafy bonfires in the distance and offset by a sublimely delicate salty tang. The reduced nose has vanilla, leather and set honey; honeycomb now also coats the palate, along with chocolate and lemon. An absolute cracker. The second most northerly mainland distillery is one of our most consistent whiskies.
