香りは、辛口の白ワイン（グースベリー・レモンとライム・炭酸水・ほぼシャブリの特徴を持つ）や白桃、さらには、庭の新鮮な樹脂が思い浮かぶ。加水前の味は、新鮮で生き生きとし、穏やかな痺れを感じる。あるものは粉砂糖をふりかけ、よく熟れたレモンの味を感じ、テイスターは“ 木から落ちたシシ
リアンレモン” だと賞賛する。スターバースト キャンディーとレモンメレンゲの類があとから続く。加水後の香りは、食前酒からデザートの趣向へと変わる。絞りたてのパパイヤと鼻につんとくる強いライムの香りとともに、クリーミーなメレンゲやバターたっぷりのショートブレッド。加水後の味は、発泡性が弱めのレモネードやコーラとともに、ソフトでクリーミーなバニラが舌の上に広がっていく。“ コーラフロート” とテイスターが言う。蒸溜所は、ゲール語で‘ 大きな納屋’ の意。

The nose evoked dry white wine (gooseberry, lemon and lime, minerals, almost Chablis-like) andwhite peach; fresh pine resin in the garden. The neat palate was fresh, lively and gently numbing: someone found ripe lemons dusted with icing sugar, the Vault-master proclaimed “Sicilian lemons off the tree”; descriptions of Starburst sweets and lemon meringue followed. On nosing with water, the aperitif style changed to dessert with creamy meringue and buttery shortbread with freshly squeezed papaya and tangy lime. On tasting, soft and creamy vanilla glided over the tongue with the gentle fizziness of lemonade and cola. “A coke float” said the Leither. The distillery means ‘Big burn’ in Gaelic.
