スモーキーなオロロソ Smokey Oloroso

強烈な香りは、糖みつのトフィー、甘草、高級木材、さらに、クリスマスケーキとラムレーズン。土臭さは、粗い麻布、スモーク、ディーゼルの濃厚さからくる。コクのある味は、クリーミーで油っこい。砂糖で煮詰めたレーズンやナッツオイル、さらに進むと、バタースカッチやクリスマスケーキがあらわれる。加水によって、バターとスモークの特徴が強まり、バターが塗られた焦げたトースト、スモークソーセージ、アーモンド、さらに、ナツメヤシや干しサルタナの香りがする。加 水後の味は、パン オ レザン、オロロソ、ブリオシュ、木のスモーク、塩入りバター。ここの蒸溜所は、蒸溜所というよりタウンハウスのようで、キャンベルタウン ロッホに身を投げた先代オーナーの幽霊が出るという噂がある。 カラー－チーク ブラウン　■ソサエティ日本支部の一言【カスタードプリン、黒蜜、カステラ、旨味満載】 The intense nose had treacle toffee, liquorice and rich wood; Christmas cake and rum soaked raisins. An earthiness emerged from the richness with hessian, smoke and diesel. The full-bodied palate was creamyand oily with burnt raisins and nut oil, progressing to butterscotch and Christmas cake. On the nose, water intensified the buttery/smokey characters as buttered burnt toast, smoked sausage and almonds appeared with dates and sultanas. The reduced palate became pain au raisin, Oloroso and brioche with wood smoke and salted butter. This distillery looks more like a townhouse, and is reputed to be haunted by a previous owner who drowned himself in Campbeltown loch. Colour - Teak brown
